To understand different systems of agriculture, one has to be knowledgeable about the different components of these systems; crops and animals, technology used, and the human factor. While the student gathers knowledge on the former two aspects in other departments, the Department of Agricultural Economics is mainly concerned with the last, the human factor, especially management and economics. Though the Department is named as Agricultural Economics, it offers courses in two other important disciplines in the field of agriculture which are Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Management.
