Purumpuli Arachchige Buddhika Niroshie Wanninaika

 

BIOGRAPHY

I am Buddhika Niroshie Perumpuli, a Lecturer in Food Science and Technology. After completing my high school at Sujatha Vidyalaya, Matara, I was entered to the Faculty of Agriculture, University Ruhuna in 1998. On the year 2002; I was graduated with a First Class (Honours) degree while claiming for four Gold Medals. Soon after BSc graduation, I joined the Department of Agricultural Chemistry of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka as a Temporary Demonstrator on Food Science and Technology. In 2004, I was promoted to a Lecturer on Food Science and Technology at the same University. In 2008, I got Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholarship to pursue my MSc and PhD at the University of Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan. Currently my research focuses on acetic acid bacteria, and vinegar fermentation with using underutilized fruits.
