Description: Erect bushy shrub, 2.6-3.1 m in height; branches slender, terete, velvety; leaves alternate, stipules scariose, liear, 0.4-1.25 cm in length, petioles stiffly erect, 0.3-2.5 cm long, leaf blades simple, 7.5-20 cm long, green, oblong, lanceolate, subcoriaceous, glbrescent above, thinly silky, acuminate; racemes 7.5-15 cm long, simple, rachis slender, zig-zag, densely grey-downy; flowers bracteate, small white or purple, papilionaceous; pods obong, 0.6-1.6 cm long, finely downy, 2-seeded.

Chemical Constituents: Root: ß-sitosterol, chacones, n-triacontane; Leaf: leptosidin glucoside, leptosin, naringin, phloridizin.
 Uses: Use whole plant in skin diseases of cattle; leaves use as tonic for sick animals.
